SNUFF release a new album and it's already coming March

"Off On The Charabanc" is part typical Snuff punk rock and part the expression of Duncan's love to folk music

Basically everybody knows that SNUFF belong to one of those long lasting legendary bands that can't seem to stop writing new tunes. The new album "Off On The Charabanc" is to no surprise filled with the typical Snuff-style mix of Ska and Punkrock - but only in the first part. The main part of the album consists of Snuff's acoustic material with which they will tour the European mainland this year.

"It is my expression of love for folk music", singer and drumer Duncan explains.

About Snuff

A folk band for the age. A punk band for the Millenium.
Making music for music's sake. Completely independent and self-sustaining
The Punk &  Mod men of  Harrow  in a direct timeline from the sharply dressed Hoochie Coochie blues & soul men of Chicago and Detroit, Duncan Redmonds is a storyteller and observer following on from the British folk tradition of Richard Thompson and Martin Carthy set to a punk - motown beat that is revered in certain circles but misunderstood in polite society.
Raucous songs of modern folk tales. Each story unfolds as you listen to their  Punk Soul Blues

Snuff were born in 1986 and LP’s ‘Snuff Said’, ‘Flibbidydibbidydob and ‘Reach’ are released before splitting up following a final show at the Kilburn National. Three years later they came  back with only Duncan present from the original line up and a new deal with Fat Wreck Chords for the States and Steve Lamacq’s Deceptive in the UK, an  album, ‘Demmamussabebonk’ quickly follows along with a  blistering appearance at the Reading Festival in ‘99. It took  13 years but eventually the NME (R.I.P.) declared them “the best band in the world”. Albums Tweet Tweet My Lovely and Numbnuts followed before the dissolution of  Deceptive saw the band return to their own 10past12 Records.

And here they are today . It’s tough to define their sound,  because the band dabble in various musical styles whilst  maintaining an overall sound that   is instantly recognisable and totally rooted in melodic punk. Guitar riffs ,organs, horns and harmonies, all underpinned by the songwriting talent of Duncan Redmonds and long-time right hand man Loz Wong. Together with Dan on bass ,Oli on trumpet and Lee on the Hammond Organ.
